Your Supporting Membership in the Washington Professional Counselors Association^TM (WaProCA) is a valuable contribution to all independent professional counselors in Washington State, and to the hundreds of thousands of counseling clients who choose and rely on our services. 

By joining WaProCA as a supporting member you are helping to protect diversity and innovation in the field of professional counseling. Each supporting membership includes access to an upcoming members only area of the website, and you will be among the first to be notified of changes in the legislative process that affect independent professional counselors.

Washington Professional Counselors Association^TM (WaProCA) is a new organization that is still developing our criteria for professional membership.

In the beginning of 2007 it was critical that we focused all of our time and energy into the legislative process, to stop a bill that focused on elimination rather than regulation. Now that we have succeeded in stopping that bill we can begin developing the criteria for professional membership. Once our Code-of-Ethics and educational criteria are in place, counselors will be able to qualify for professional membership.

If you became a supporting member during 2007, your membership can be converted to professional membership at no additional cost.

Your professional membership will include access to a members only area of the website - including access to training materials and documents related to the field of professional counseling. Our plan is also to have a listing of professional members - where you may post information about yourself and your practice on our site.
